...I roll dice much better when I'm the GM than when I'm a player.

Tonight, when I was GMing a Star Wars game, I rolled a 15 or higher on a much more consistent basis than I ever do when I'm a player. This was not a good thing. It forced me to perform a ham-handed alteration in the middle of the adventure. After that encounter, I threw away the script (no loss, it wasn't that great anyway), and made the rest up as I went along. Everyone seemed to enjoy that part more. So, for future scenarios, if I use anything from the pregenerated adventures, it'll just be bits and pieces. I'll come up with the rest myself. One thing's for sure. I'm learning all the things not to do as a GM the hard way!

To the players: after the Alliance finds out what happened to you, they're going to re-evaluate your equipment needs (i.e., you'll have your own ship that's more than just a box with hyperdrive by the next time we play). They'll figure that if you're going to be in ship-to-ship battles, you need something a little better, and you all can handle a ship well enough that it won't be lost and it'll be put to good use!
