Okay, it's Banned Books Week. So I was looking at the list of the top 100 banned books. With many of them it's obvious why they were banned, not that I agree with banning a book just because you don't like or agree with it. Many of these, by the way, were good books that I read in high school. The parents were far more upset about us reading the books than we were. Then I get to Where's Waldo? o.O

[livejournal.com profile] the_gneech has since told me that it was because the artist slipped in a topless woman subathing on a beach in one of the pictures, and some elementary school libraries decided not to carry it. I don't know if it was outright banned or if this is the incident that the ALA is referring to.

I've read a good deal of these books. I just find it funny that they're banned...
