Dragon*Con notes
Aug. 3rd, 2004 07:41 pmI've been looking over my Dragon*Con notes from the past two years to remind myself of what to bring and do.
2002
Flight was at 1:15 p.m. We left for the airport at 10:45 a.m. and arrived in Atlanta at 3:10 p.m. (Check in time this year has been moved back to 4 p.m. at the hotel.)
Return flight was at 6:35 p.m. We left the hotel at 3:30 p.m., and the flight arrived at Dulles at 8:25 p.m.
Make sure to take medications, both prescription and OTC.
We were on the 27th floor.
Ice packs for John's back didn't work well. Couldn't keep them frozen.
Keep hydrated. Rest periodically.
Bring rubber bands. (Can't remember what prompted this note.)
The taxi is cheaper than the shuttle for more that 2 people, but both are harrowing. (Marta?)
2003
Get a watch working and bring it. The cell phone's clock isn't reliable because you can't always get a signal.
We were on the 41st floor.
Bring cash in case ATM is empty/not working.
Go to a track with Peter Woodward. He seems funny.
