Web Developer Squee
Aug. 21st, 2007 01:02 pmCSS is cool. When I find a way to do something in CSS that's elegant, I feel like I used to when I first started getting involved in web work. Back then it was cool and neat. Then it got to be that I didn't do anything cool or neat. Now, learning how to do stuff with CSS, it's starting to feel cool again.
For those of you who wonder what specifically prompted this, we found a page that explains how to create a vertical menu that uses flyouts with no Javascript required to make it work in IE! If you're not a web developer, then you probably don't know what a big deal this is. But when you're a web developer who has to work on government sites that aren't allowed to use any Javascript that breaks the functionality of the site if someone doesn't have Javascript turned on in their browser, it's a god-send.
