My cousin's hand
Jun. 1st, 2008 06:56 pmAbout a year ago, my cousin, who had recently lost her mother to pancreatic cancer, lost her hand in an accident with a wood chipper. Now she finally has her prosthetic hand, and it's one of the most advanced ones in existence. She can saddle up and ride her horses again because it has 5 moving fingers with independent joints. It's called an i-Limb.
I'm so glad she's got this now and can ride again. Hooray for medical advances!
